I’m excited to announce Atlanta’s Paint Doctor is one of 12 companies accepted to participate in the 2015 Georgia Mentorship Protégée Connection (MPC). The MPC is a business development initiative that provides opportunities for emerging firms in Georgia to benefit from a one-year mentoring relationship with the state’s top corporations.
The 2015 Class
Each company in the program must have a corporate sponsor, each of which has their own selection process. In our case, Atlanta’s Paint Doctor went though a yearlong program in 2014 with JE Dunn Construction, and showing promise and diligence in that program, was selected to join the MPC.
We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of this program. The things we’re going to learn in this program are beyond measure. I’m really honored and humbled that JE Dunn sees our potential and was willing to sponsor us in the program. It shows their dedication to seeing Georgia continue to be an economic powerhouse and the Paint Doctor’s role in continuing that long tradition.
The companies that have participated in the MPC include The Home Depot, MARTA, Delta and The Coca-Cola Company, so we’re going to be in the room with the best and biggest companies in the state. Research has shown that access to the level of mentoring and support that the MPC provides has been a key factor in outrageous results for small business owners across the country. We’re excited to see what we can learn from these companies, who at some point were exactly where we are now and overcame the odds to become the superstars of their industries.
