Olympic Paint introduced ColorClix, a free mobile application (app) to help users select paint and décor colors on the go.

With the app, the user can take a photo with a mobile device, select any color displayed, and match it to one of the company’s interior or exterior paint colors, the company says.

Users have several options to match colors with this app, including the following.

  • Grab a Color: Users snap a photo using their device’s camera or select an existing picture from their photo library and select the color they’d like to match.
  • Get Inspired: Users browse Olympic Paints’ designer collections, such as the Audubon Collection, which highlight colors that nicely complement each other.
  • Have a Color in Mind: “Perfect for those who know what color they like, but want to narrow down an exact shade,” the company says. Users can also browse the company’s most popular colors by color family.

The mobile app also connects to the company’s online color tools, which include a downloadable desktop application that gives consumers the ability to view the entire color palette.

Online, users can “paint” a room to see how different colors work together in a space. All projects can be saved and accessed through the mobile app or the desktop app.  Get the app here.
