Terms and Conditions
Estimates and Pricing
All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Estimates are based on the current condition of the property as assessed during our visit. Changes in scope, material upgrades, or unforeseen issues (e.g., wood rot, mold, lead paint) may result in additional charges. Pricing includes labor, materials, and standard surface preparation unless otherwise specified.
Scheduling and Access
Start dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather, material delays, or project overruns. You must provide safe and clear access to the property, including entry to all work areas, utilities (water/electric), and bathrooms if needed. We reserve the right to delay or reschedule if access is not provided or site conditions are unsafe.
Surface Preparation and Conditions
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, such as structural issues, water damage, mold, or peeling due to previous poor applications. We will take reasonable measures to prepare and protect surfaces, but perfect adhesion or coverage is not guaranteed on surfaces not suitable for painting (e.g., raw wood, chalky substrates).
Paint and Materials
We use premium-grade professional paints and materials appropriate to the project unless otherwise agreed in writing. We do not use VOC-free or environmentally certified paints unless specifically requested and approved in the estimate.
Change Orders
Any changes to the scope of work must be made in writing and signed by both parties. Verbal changes will not be honored. Change orders may affect pricing and project duration.
Payment Terms
A deposit of 30%is required to secure scheduling. Final payment is due upon completion of work, unless otherwise stated in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest at 1.5% per month (18% annual) on past due balances, and you agree to pay any collection or legal fees incurred in recovering unpaid balances.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least 5 business days before the scheduled start date. Cancellations made with fewer than 5 business days’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 15% of the estimate. Projects rescheduled due to client delays may be subject to a change in start date based on current availability.
Warranty
We offer a limited 2-year workmanship warranty on most residential painting services. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper maintenance, water intrusion, physical damage, or structural issues. Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the warranty period and are subject to inspection.
Liability and Insurance
We carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation for all employees. While we take great care to protect your property, we are not liable for incidental damage to landscaping, furnishings, or unmovable fixtures unless due to gross negligence.
Photography and Marketing
We may take photos of completed work for marketing purposes. Personal identifying information or images of occupants will not be used without written consent. You may opt out of photography by notifying us in writing before work begins.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Atlanta, Georgia, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.Each party shall bear its own legal fees and costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
Communications and Marketing Consent
By providing your contact information, including phone number and email address, you consent to receive communications from Atlanta’s Paint Doctor related to your project, including appointment reminders, project updates, and service follow-ups. You also agree to receive occasional promotional emails or SMS messages about our services, special offers, or seasonal reminders. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying “STOP” to any SMS message or by using the unsubscribe link in our emails. We do not sell or share your personal contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.
By signing an estimate, scheduling service, or allowing work to begin, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
