I hope you will join The Paint Doctor in visiting the the annual
Decorator’s Showhouse benefiting the Atlanta Symphony celebrates, which opens April 6th and continues through May 9th. This year’s home, called Lotus House, is a new 20,000sf estate on West Wesley Road, one of Buckhead’s most prestigious addresses. The estate was designed by William T. Baker, recipient of Classical America’s Arthur Ross Award in Architecture and author of the beautifully illustrated book New Classicists. The Paint Doctor has been impressed by the home’s many unique and interesting features including an interior garden courtyard with a serene Lotus Pond, a curving staircase leading to an octagonal second floor salon with matching octagonal skylight, and a rooftop terrace with outdoor fireplace overlooking Buckhead’s greenscape and sparkling city lights. If that’s not enough, the residence has two kitchens, a golf simulation room, home theatre, wine cellar, a spa with beauty area for hairdressing, a yoga and massage chamber and flower potting and arranging area.
Designers for the 2011 Symphony Showhouse include: Todd Falconbury, Bill Musson, Barbara Heath, Barry Dixon, Christy Dillard, Janie Hirsch, and Maria Nutt. A complete list is available
