Most power washers come equipped with several different nozzles.  Each one will produce a different type of water jet.  Before you jump right into the power washing process, test out some of these nozzles by attaching it to the washer and spraying water to see which stream will be most effective for your project.

Be Careful With Chemicals

If you’re simply prepping a surface for exterior painting, you likely don’t need chemicals at all. Water pressure alone is usually enough to remove chipped paint or persistent dirt. If you do need to use chemicals, ensure they are approved specifically for power washers.
